Does Kanye have a case of – what I like to call – Little Man Syndrome?

Kanye West, after grabbing the microphone from a confused Taylor Swift during her "Best Female Video" acceptance speech

Defending Kanye West has come with the territory of being an avid fan. Many of his antics have been questionable: from comments about former president George W. Bush, to his explosions in VMAs past (regarding his never having won a Moonman), to numerous additional controversial tirades that I won’t begin to list.

But…

After last night’s display of disrespect and blatant disregard for a fellow artist, I don’t feel that I can defend Mr. West and his selfish actions any longer. Especially since Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” video actually was a far cry from the “best video of the decade.”

You can read Kanye’s “apology” here and Taylor’s reaction to her “interesting night” here; class surely does appear on a spectrum. And speaking of class, bravo to Beyoncé for showing hers by allowing Taylor Swift to take her moment during her acceptance speech for Video of the Year (for the same video Kanye freaked out about when Taylor Swift took the “Best Female Video” category).
